Some stories begin with a silent cry on Christmas Eve. Alessandro Abel's is one of them. Entrepreneur, CEO, and mentor to more than two thousand digital business owners, he didn't reach the top by chance — he reached it by decision. Today, at the helm of Garimpando na América, a reference in the luxury brand concierge market with operations in Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, and New York — and now in full expansion into Europe —, Alessandro Abel granted América Capital Magazine an exclusive, direct, no-nonsense conversation about what truly shapes a genuine entrepreneur.

"I Would Never Work for Someone Else"

América Capital: What led you to pursue this path? Who inspires you, and who were your mentors?

Alessandro Abel: "I've been an entrepreneur since very early on. I grew up watching my father work tirelessly, coming home late every day, never complaining, giving his absolute best. But one afternoon, something changed forever: he came home different. It was Christmas Eve. I was ten years old, and for the first time in my life, I saw my father cry. In that moment, I gained a certainty that never left me — I would never work for someone else. I would always have my own company. At sixteen, I founded my first entertainment company in a friend's garage. That's how it all began.

Today, my greatest inspiration is my family — my wife and my daughter. I know I'm also an inspiration to them, especially to my daughter, who listens to everything with striking attention. That makes me want to be the best example possible: of ethics, of commitment, of character. One phrase I love repeating to her is 'your time is precious' — I want her to learn early on to place real value on her time and never have to sell it short.

My primary mentor always was, and always will be, my father. A warrior of a man who did everything right, with respect and integrity, even when he was wronged for it. He may not have been a great business success, but he was, without question, a success as a father. And that matters far more."

The Reset That Changed Everything

América Capital: What was the turning point in your life — the moment that separated the before from the after?

Alessandro Abel: "In 2014, my then-newlywed wife gave me the news that would change everything: we were expecting a child. My world underwent a complete reset. From that instant on, I decided I wanted to build a life full of energy, ideas, and momentum — a story I could be proud of and, one day, share.

That's where the decision to leave Brazil and start a new journey in the United States was born. Today I feel deeply honored to be a father and husband, but above all, to have taken on, with responsibility and integrity, the role of an adult man — something that, unfortunately, is increasingly rare these days."

Garimpando na América: From Miami to Milan

América Capital: What are your projects and updates for 2026? And what message do you leave for América Capital's readers?

Alessandro Abel: "From 2018 to today, we've built a great deal in the United States. We've built ventures across several fields, and I can say with pride that I found success in all of them — as a mentor to digital entrepreneurs, with more than two thousand graduates; as a speaker and mentor in in-person trainings, where I gained far more than students: I gained friends. But my greatest success story is, without question, Garimpando na América.

As CEO of the company, we take pride in being present not only in Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, and New York, but also in having launched our European expansion in 2025. And now, in 2026, I'm taking one more extraordinary step: I'm moving to Milan with my family. The world's capital of fashion. A paradise for our business — and yet another new world to conquer, with the same drive and unity as always.

I always tell my daughter: whoever fears the new doesn't deserve to live the extraordinary.

So I leave this message for you, the reader: if you have the desire to live something different, if you're feeling stagnant or undervalued — change. Do things differently. Swallow the tears and act. In the end, you'll be proud to tell your story.
